About

Kashmira is a curious multimedia artist who loves to play with scale. Her work includes large scale murals as well as miniature pottery. She is fascinated by the use of negative and positive space in the practice of image making via any media.

She has worked with papercut, embroidery, ceramics, murals, print making and digital art so far and is always looking to expand her horizons with new medias, tactile and virtual.

Her work is inspired and driven by a wide range of subjects including science, history, environment, culture, people, emotions, nature and growth.

She is on an ever evolving journey of making art that makes sense in a hopeful and sensitive way..

Graduating from Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai in 2010, she went on to do an ‘Illustration summer residency’ from SVA, New York in 2014 and a travel residency program in Iceland with Light Grey Art Lab in 2018.

Her select clients include Google, Facebook, CNN, WeWork, Hallmark, Penguin, GQ, Verve, Asian Paints Okhai, Aanganwadis, Pratham, St+art and CARE amongst others.

If you’re looking to collaborate with her on something exciting, drop her a line at kashsarode@gmail.com
